1 Scope of the Terms & Conditions

1. These T&Cs apply to all contracts between Hotel Balduin (represented by gse-trading GmbH) and guests.
2. Deviations are only valid with written approval.

2 Conclusion of Contract

1. The contract is formed through the booking confirmation or by the provision of services.
2. Deposit (50%) required for bookings more than 3 days before arrival; full payment required for short-notice bookings.
3. A booking becomes binding upon confirmation.

3 Services and Prices

1. Services according to the description; prices include VAT (19%) and exclude extras (breakfast €12, etc.).
2. Price adjustments possible for bookings made more than 6 months in advance with a 4-week cancellation option.

4 Payment

1. Payment online or at departure in cash/EC card/credit card.
2. Default interest: 9% above the base rate per annum.

5 Cancellation / No-Show

1. Cancellation must be in writing.
2. Free cancellation up to 48 hours before arrival; 50% charge for cancellations 24–48 hours prior; 80% charge for cancellations under 24 hours; 100% for no-shows.
3. No refund for unused services.

6 Room Availability / Withdrawal

1. Rooms available from 15:00 on arrival day and must be vacated by 11:00 on departure day.
2. The hotel may withdraw in cases of force majeure; deposit will be refunded.

7 Liability

1. Liability only for intent or gross negligence (except for breaches of essential duties).
2. Valuables must be deposited in the safe; liability up to €800 (legal maximum).

8 House Rules

1. Guests must observe the rules; violations may result in immediate termination and claims for damages.

9 Final Provisions

1. Severability clause.
2. Place of jurisdiction: Local Court (Amtsgericht) Montabaur.
3. German law applies.
